*Pastor Sims was called into ministry at the age of 15 on April 8, 2003 under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Haywood Hannah (UMC Elder), at Galilee Treadwell United Methodist Church in Lexington Ms.

*Pastor Sims is in his 18th  year of ministry and  15th year of pastoral ministry, he is known for being a dynamic, enthusiastic pastor and church leader in the United Methodist Church, with a track record of transforming and revitalizing congregations and youth ministries with a renewed desire for both growth and increase in faith focus. 

*Prior to coming to the Seashore District, he served as Senior Pastor of Vincent, Epworth & Galilee UM churches in North Mississippi.

*Currently Serves As Senior Pastor of St. Paul UMC, Biloxi Ms/ Mt.Pleasant UMC, Gulfport Ms.

*Pastor Sims is now Provisional Elder (2021) In United Methodist Church


Former Executive Director of Central Miss Pastor Fellowship, former member of Crystal Springs Ministerial Alliance, Board of Director, Bethlehem Center, Member of Board of Directors, Co-Lin Community College, and member of Grant Mission Committee, UMC (this is only a portion listing of his community involvement). Pastor Sims  is Presently serve as member of BMCR UMC, Memeber of Biloxi Ecumenical Clergy Leadership Council, Current Board of Director Chair of Holmes Community Wesley Foundation, Member of Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce, and Biloxi NAACP, Member of Advisory Board For Salvation Army.

Rev. DeNondrea Sims, B.Mus.Ed, M.Mus.Ed

DeNondrea Forrest Sims is a native of Winona MS. She is the daughter of Rev. James & Mrs. Annette Forrest. Rev. Sims is a 2006 graduate of Winona High School and a 2012 graduate of Mississippi University for Women with a Bachelor of Music Education with Vocal Concentration degree. She has completed post graduate coursework Jackson State University. Reṿ. Sims is 2021 graduate of William Carey University with a Master of Music Education.

Pastor DeNondrea Sims is no stranger to the church or community. Growing up in Columbiana United Methodist Church, she has served as choir director, Sunday School teacher, Youth Coordinator, and a member of the Usher Board. In the community, she faithfully serves through education and giving voice lessons to several youth in the area. She has worked with the Jackson Public School District, Greenwood School District, and Grenada School Districts where she has served in various capacities from 5th grade math to the Music Teacher/ Show Choir Director. She has worked as  the Music Instructor and Director of Choral Activities at Holmes Community College on both Grenada and Goodman Campuses. Rev. DeNondrea Sims is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. And a charter member of the first National Panhellenic Council of Greek Letter Organization to be chartered in Grenada,MS.

She currently serves as Associate Pastor of St. Paul (Biloxi,MS) & Mt. Pleasant ( Gulfport, MS) United Methodist Churches. She is also the Wesley Foundation Director USM- Gulf Coast Campus and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College- Harrison County Campus. She has a passion to teach, preach, and minister through song.

She Is a member of the Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce, Biloxi NAACP, and Board Member of Camp Wesley Pines.

She believes in doing All you can, while you can to be a help to someone . A quote that she lives by is ,” I want the whole CHRIST for my Savior, The whole bible for my book, the whole church for my fellowship, and the whole world for my mission field.

Rev. DeNondrea Sims resides in Biloxi, MS along with her Husband, Pastor Kordell Sims, Sr., their son Kordell Sims, Jr, and daughter, Kolby Sims.
